I was born in 1958. Since 1977 Im a radio amateur. My callsign is DL2MAJ.

I live in Obermeitingen, which is a little village in the south of Germany, south of Augsburg and north of Landsberg/Lech.

I´m married, and we have three sons, but only my eldest son Thomas is interested in amateur radio.

I´m member of the Deutscher Amateur-Radio-Club (DARC) e. V. (http://www.darc.de), and I´m the head of the local amateur radio group (http://www.funkamateure.ffb.org) within this club.

A few years ago I started to support the Arbeitskreis Amateurfunk und Telekommunikation in der Schule (AATiS) e.V. (http://www.aatis.de), which is a small organisation of teachers, engineers and other guys who want to show the fascination of electronics to young people and to interest them for a technical profession.
